SOLD 06/2023! I'm still not certain when Carvin became Kiesel but this bass was custom Made in USA and that's the main thing! It's a really classic design once you get past the look of the fanned frets. It reminds me more of a USA Lakland than say a Conklin. It just feels really comfy to play despite (or because of?) the 34-35" scale the fanned fret layout provides. It has a pleasing and lightweight natural swamp ash body and a maple bolt-on neck with 22 frets. It also has gold hardware & wood-encased J pickups powered by a 9-volt preamp with volume, pan & bass, mid & treble controls. The bass is satin-finished all-around and weighs in at a very light 9 1/4 lbs, Includes the deluxe, rigid and heavily padded Kiesel pro gig bag.
